The Cy-Fest Planning Committee invites all Lone Star College-CyFair, LSC-Cypress Center and LSC-Westway Park Technology Center employees and students, as well as community members, to participate in a T-shirt Design Contest for our annual Cy-Fest family-friendly festival being held from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday, October 5th.
Cy-Fest began as the college’s gift to the community in 2005 – drawing thousands of visitors, many of whom had never been on the LSC-CyFair campus. This annual celebration reflects our community to the commitment we all have to making Cy-Fair a wonderful place to live, work and raise our families. Simply put, our promise to you is to provide all ages a day of fun.
Visitors to the festival enjoy live entertainment, a variety of children’s activities such as bounce houses, train rides, a petting zoo, a pumpkin patch and so much more. There will be food trucks with tasty treats available for purchase as well as non-profit, community organizations and college program information tables.
Three designs will be selected by a panel of judges, then voting will take place on their favorite via the college’s Instagram. The winning design will be featured online on all social media, in print on posters and flyers, and on t-shirts to be worn by our volunteers at our annual Cy-Fest event set Saturday, Oct. 5.
2024 Cy-Fest T-shirt Design Requirements
- Make it cool, simple, and awesome!
- It should have broad appeal and represent Cy-Fest.
- Design is limited to 3 colors.
- Please, no inappropriate language or imagery.
- No stock illustrations, this must be your original design.
- T-shirt color must not be white.
Designs should be submitted electronically via email. Send us your original design files labeled with your first and last name. Preferred file types are: Illustrator, EPS and PDF. Type must be converted to outlines. Submit with your design layers intact. Hard copies of hand-drawn art are also acceptable.
2024 Submission Deadline
Submit your design via email to cy-fair.events.planning@lonestar.edu by midnight Sunday, Aug. 25. Turn hand-drawn art in at the Office of Communications, Outreach and Engagement. You must also fill in and submit a Contest Release form granting us the rights to use your artwork for creating t-shirts and other purposes.
2024 Voting
Voting on the college’s Instagram account will take place from Aug. 26-31. The winner will be announced Monday, Sept. 2nd.
