Adjunct Certification Program
The Adjunct Certification Program-Online is designed to provide adjunct faculty with the knowledge and skills to plan and design their courses, execute effective teaching strategies, and establish an engaging learner-centered learning environment.
Adjunct Connection Series
Adjunct Connection Series is designed to provide a networking and collaboration space for all Lone Star College adjuncts. Participants will gather to discuss and share ideas with other cross-disciplinary colleagues across the colleges.
Advancing Equity in the Classroom Series
The Advancing Equity in the Classroom series allows faculty will share best practices, classroom techniques, lesson ideas and tips about ways to incorporate diversity equity and inclusion in the classroom.
Capstone Instructional Skills Workshop
The Capstone Instructional Skills Workshop was designed to allow faculty to gain an improved understanding of adult learning theory, improve learner-centered teaching strategies, learn efficient assessment skills, and how to expand their use of technology.
Career Development Coaching
The Career Development coaching experience is structured to provide coaching opportunities for Lone Star College employees. Coaches are selected and paired based upon both the coach and coachee's role at Lone Star College, career interests, and professional experience. By participating in this program, employees will have the opportunity to develop themselves and impact their colleagues and the college in a meaningful way.
Faculty Idea Share Series
The Faculty Idea Share Series allows faculty to share their classroom techniques, lesson ideas, and tips about successful teaching practices. Learners will explore various instructional tools to keep students motivated and engaged.
Technology Tuesdays
Technology Tuesday was designed to introduce new technology techniques to faculty. During these sessions, participants will learn apps, technology tools, and strategies to create an engaging and successful learning environment.
Quality Matters Mini
Quality Matters Mini is a virtual Webex series centered around best practices of online teaching and course design. During these sessions, participants will focus upon the syllabus, course content, and accessibility. The QM concepts and standards will be referenced throughout these sessions.
Webex for the D2L Class Series
Webex for the D2L Class is a series designed to demonstrate how instructors and students can access Webex through D2L to hold regularly scheduled live class meetings.
