The Lone Star College-University Park Business Department helps students to develop varied business skills such as critical thinking, teamwork, utilizing technology, performing research, decision-making and effective communication. Our business programs focus on management and operational skills crucial to running a business and being more productive within a business organization, and can be applied to any industry.  

LSC-University Park offers two programs: Associate of Arts Business Administration and Associate of Applied Science Business Administration with specializations in Human Resources, Business Management, and Marketing.

Associate of Arts (AA) Business Administration

The Associate of Arts (AA) Business Administration curriculum is designed to satisfy the lower degree requirements and thus transfer to a four year college for completion of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration .

Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Business Administration

The AAS Business Administration degree is a three-part program, with the AAS awarded upon completion of all three parts. This program is designed for students who wish to enter the workforce upon completion.

Business Operations Level 1 Certificate: The Business Operations Level 1 Certificate program is designed to provide workforce training in a time period shorter than one year.

Business Administration Level 2 Certificate: Upon completion of the Business Operations Level 1 Certificate, a student may continue their studies to complete the Business Administration Level 2 Certificate. This program is designed to provide entry into the workforce in a time period shorter than two years.

Note that the program is available in three different tracks: Human Resources, Business Management, and Marketing.

AAS Business Administration: Upon completion of the Business Administration Level 2 Certificate, a student may continue their studies to complete the Associate of Applied Science Business Administration degree.
