Career and Technical Education (CTE), also known as Work Force Education, is both skills-based training and academic education designed for the student who wants to obtain a sustainable career based upon applied technologies in two years or less. CTE or workforce students will be immersed in their interest-based field of study, immediately learning the needed career skills which are real, relevant, and related to current industry standards and practice.
Students who receive an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree from Lone Star College can obtain a Bachelor’s of Applied Science degree (BAAS) from several state 4-year universities.
