Admissions Application

Lone Star College is an open-enrollment institution and applying is always free. 
Are you a new student? Complete the online application through Apply Texas and choose Lone Star College.

Common Holds

Here are the most common holds on a students account:

Date of Birth

 

Verification of your date of birth is required. Please bring one of the following documents to have the hold removed:

  • Driver's license
  • Official high school transcript
  • Passport
  • Birth certificate

You will provide your document to the Admissions department (located in the Maverick Student Center) or submit your document virtually through the Live Chat service via your MyLoneStar student portal.

This must be completed to enroll, make online payments, receive any financial aid refunds or request transcripts from Lone Star College.

Home Address

 

Verification of your address is required. For a list of documentation options that may be used to verify your address and prove residency, click here

Legal Name Verification

 

Verification of your legal name is required. Please bring both your social security card or passport along with a government issued photo id to the Admisssions department (located in the Maverick Student Center) or you can submit your documents virtually through the Live Chat service accessed via your MyLoneStar student portal.

This must be completed to enroll or request transcripts from Lone Star College.

Verification of your address is required. A list of documentation that may be used to verify your address and prove residency may be found in the Resident Status section of the LSC Catalog. If you have any questions, please visit the Admissions Department (located in the Maverick Student Center) or join the Live Chat service via your MyLoneStar student portal to chat with an Admissions representative.

SSN Hold

 

Documentation is required to verify your Social Security number. Please bring your original social security card and government issued photo id to Admissions (located in the Maverick Student Center) or connect with Admissions through our Live Chat services accessed via your MyLoneStar student portal

Individual Admissions

 

The Individual Admissions hold is generated depending on how a student answers their admissions application questions. If you see this hold placed on your account, you are required to show proof of high school graduation. If you have graduated from a high school or received your GED, please request to have your official transcripts/certificate be sent to the Registrar’s office at Registrar@LoneStar.edu.

This must be completed to enroll or receive financial aid.
