The employment outlook for teachers will vary from state to state.  According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the rate of job growth for teachers at all levels is 3-4% between now and 2028.  However, according to a recent article on the Student Loan Planner website, Texas is currently ranked as number 1 in job outlook at all teaching levels when reviewing cost of living, average salary, and number of job openings. 

Certain certification areas such as EC-12 Special Education, Bilingual Education, and math and science at the secondary level have an even higher demand.
