Student Comments:

“Professor Mestayer engages her students in the learning process. She has youtube videos of each lesson plan. Along with handouts for you to follow along. You knew what was expected up front. We also got reviews for our test. I did learn a lot from her teaching style. I am grateful for her.”

“Mrs. Mestayer is absolutely amazing! She has a detailed list of assignment dates, which helps with staying organized. She also grades each test and sends it back with feedback to help you do better next time!"

Student Comments:

“ I like how you always used feedback from your students to gauge our understanding.  Most professor like to lecture and "talk at their students," but you don’t, and I greatly appreciate that. It has allowed me to feel valued in the class.”

“This instructor goes beyond what a normal professor does. She encourages students to be the best they can be, and she gives extremely helpful feedback on assignments.”

“The instructor is doing a great job at making sure you feel safe. The classroom a no judgment zone which helps with the way we learn as students.”

“Professor Moreno was very engaging throughout the entire course, and always made each lesson easy to comprehend while still challenging.”

“She has the knowledge and field experience to teach concepts but also real-life situations in a classroom, which is a plus to the course. She is always prepared and gave us multiple materials and teaching methods to learn and understand the materials. She is dynamic and well organized.”

Laura Dupree

Professor Laura Dupree is a highly trained and credentialed Montessori instructor.  Professor Dupree travels internationally to provide teacher training for future Montessori teachers, parenting classes, and leadership development. Additionally, Professor Dupree works as a faculty member for the lifePATH program where she teaches students with cognitive challenges. Through her involvement with both the AAT and lifePATH programs, AAT students can apply their knowledge to real-life teaching situations that require them to differentiate their instruction. In 2017, Laura was honored to be placed on the Fulbright Specialist Roster and by 2019 she had completed three weeks of trainings in multiple cities in Poland.  She was also presented the LSC20\20 Award for her commitment to students and their success.

Student Comments:

“What I enjoyed the most about this course is that my professor always felt available to me. Even though I never had a face-to-face interaction, I still felt a warmth and friendliness from her and felt like she was active within our classwork.”

“When it comes to the assignments, I learned A LOT! And I think everything I have learned, is something that I will forever reflect back on.”

“ I felt that everything we did had a purpose and there was not one assignment that I felt did not help me learn something new.”

“I enjoyed Professor Dupree's positive words of encouragement. I've taken many online classes and I've never seen a teacher put so much effort into one. I can only imagine how great she would be in person.”

“I really enjoyed the content of this course. I have learned so much in such a little time that I am encouraged to seek you as a professor in any other course I can take with you. I truly feel that I will always remember you and all I learned throughout this course. THANK YOU!”
