EDUC 1301 (Intro to the Teaching Profession) and EDUC 2301 (Intro to Special Populations) have a mandated external field experience component.  The state requires that all students enrolled in these classes spend 16 hours visiting a classroom and observing the classroom teacher.

The school district in which a student completes his or her external field experiences must be on the approved Affiliation Agreement List, and the district may require a background check before a student is allowed to enter the school building or classroom.  Information regarding approved districts and the background check process will be provided by the instructor.
