If General Psychology 2301 is your first ever online class, you could win a $50 gift card to the LSC-North Harris Bookstore.

• Join up to twenty-five other online learners in a new, free, one-week online learning prep class, presented in D2L (the LSCS online classroom).
• Participate in a small research study to measure the effectiveness of giving first time online learners an opportunity to use D2L and explore the online learning culture before they begin their regular curriculum classes.
• Complete one small survey four weeks after the beginning of the semester.
• Receive a report of the research results after the end of the semester.

To qualify for this course, you must:

• Have had no previous online learning experience.
• Register for PSYC 2301, Section 1023. When you register, you will receive a detailed description of your next steps and how the class will proceed.
• Be willing to commit to maintain attendance and participation in the online prep class from 18 August through 22 August. This is the week before the regular Fall 2014 semester begins.

If you take the online prep class and turn in all of your assignments, your name will be automatically entered in the $50 gift card prize pool. A winner will be chosen at random on August 25.
