Sport Clubs and Recreation Organizations
Sport Clubs and Recreation Organizations at Lone Star College provide students with opportunities to engage in activities beyond traditional recreational sports, physical education classes, and intercollegiate athletics. These organizations are student-led and focus on instruction, recreation, competition, and social activities.
Sport Clubs
- Compete in leagues against other collegiate clubs.
- Emphasize student leadership and group participation.
- All members must be Lone Star College students, carry medical insurance, and sign a waiver of responsibility agreement.
Recreation Organizations
- Less structured than Sport Clubs.
- Focus primarily on enjoyment and participation in activities.
How to Start a Club or Organization
- Complete registration forms with the Student Activities Department.
- Meet with the Recreation Sport Coordinator to review:
- Requirements & guidelines
- Club status & responsibilities
- Follow policies set by the College, Student Activities Department, and Recreational Sports Department.
Eligibility
- All members must have an overall GPA of at least 2.0.
- Cannot be on academic probation.
- Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.

Spring 2025 Tryouts
Wednesday, January 22nd at 6 p.m. - Gym (HPE-107)
The team has mandatory practices on Monday evenings and games on Wednesday evenings.
Spring 2025 Tryouts
Tuesday, January 21st at 6:00 PM, Location: GYM
The team has mandatory practices Tuesday's and Thursday's evenings and games on Friday evenings.

Recreational Sports & Activities

Spring 2025 Interest Meeting
Thursday, February 13 at 3:00 PM in the GYM
Practices are Tuesday and Thursdays from 3-5 PM in the open field between Winship and the Industrial Building.
