The Center for the Arts building includes:
Main Stage TheatreThe Main Stage Theatre features a proscenium stage with seating for 425 people, state-of-the art lighting and sound equipment and a hydraulic orchestra pit. Black Box TheatreThe Black Box Theatre is an intimate yet flexible space with state-of the-art lighting and sound equipment that can accommodate 85 audience members. Recital Hall & Music DepartmentThe Recital Hall seats 80 and typically hosts music performances and the semester's film series. The music wing houses individual practice rooms. AmphitheaterThe amphitheater is an outdoor tiered performance space overlooking the central lake. Bosque GalleryThe Bosque Gallery is a 572-square foot space with natural and artificial directional lighting. The gallery has year round exhibitions featuring original work by noted artists, a fall art faculty exhibition and a student exhibition at the close of each fall and spring semester. All exhibitions are open to the public. Art DepartmentIncludes a ceramics studio, a painting and drawing studio, a photo lab and darkroom, and a metal arts and design studio. Classrooms and Faculty OfficesThe second floor houses technology enhanced lecture classrooms including an Art History and Art Appreciation suite. |
