Wesley Alan Bennett was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and graduated from J. Frank Dobie High School (PISD) in 2006. Thereafter, he attended Texas A&M University-College Station and graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Classical Studies and History (double major) in 2010. He currently aspires to attend graduate school in Classical Archaeology or Classical Studies in order to obtain both an M.A. and a Ph.D. Consequently, he has become familiar with many different languages. He took seven semesters of ancient Greek and five semesters of Latin at TAMU, both of which languages he can read at the highest levels. He is now studying to gain a working knowledge of two modern languages (other than English): German and French. Wesley’s interests include all the subfield of Classical Studies and Archaeology, including (but certainly not limited to!) ancient history, ancient religion and culture, ancient theater, and Classical philology. He is also amazed by the work of Comparative Indo-European linguists and may pursue study in this field while in graduate school. Wesley is highly experienced in all the Microsoft Office programs and several media programs, as well as becoming ever more familiar with common GIS (i.e. Geographic Information Systems) programs, e.g. ArcGIS.
