Noyce Scholarship for Incoming Juniors at SHSU Fall 2024
Sam Houston State University is recruiting students from STEM fields to become teachers.
Students are offered a great scholarship of $10,000 per year for their junior and senior years. They also receive professional development and coaching as a teacher.
To qualify, students must:
- Be an incoming junior at SHSU.
- Be willing to earn a secondary single subject teaching certification in a STEM subject and teach in a secondary (grades 7-12) high-needs school district.
- Be a US citizen or lawful permanent resident.
- Provide unofficial transcripts from all previously attended institutions and two or more recommendation letters directly by email. Noyce Scholar candidates chosen for the program will need to provide official transcripts upon request.
