Lone Star College-North Harris names Dr. Lambert campus President

Lone Star College has named Bennie Lambert, Ph.D., LSC-North Harris President.

Bennie Lambert, Ph.D., was named Lone Star College-North Harris President. Lambert becomes the ninth president of the inaugural LSC campus and returns after serving as LSC-CyFair Vice President for Student Success.

“Dr. Lambert’s ability to connect with others and his demonstrated commitment to putting people first will have a profound effect on the students and employees at Lone Star College-North Harris as well as the community at-large,” said Mario K. Castillo, J.D., LSC Chancellor. “There are people that say they care about students and employees and then there are people that when they say those things, you feel it emanate from their hearts.  Dr. Lambert is the latter in my experience working with him for many years.”

Lambert began his LSC career in 1991, where he developed a strong background in admissions, advising and enrollment management and served as an adjunct faculty member. Lambert has extensive experience in higher education, having also worked at Baylor University and McLennan Community College.

“I am deeply honored by the trust put in me by Chancellor Castillo,” said Lambert. “I look forward to working with the faculty, staff and community to ensure our students have the necessary resources to be successful.”

Lambert is a proud product of a community college, having earned his Associate of Arts degree from McLennan Community College before obtaining bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Business and Educational Psychology from Baylor University. He also holds a Doctor of Philosophy from Texas A&M University.

“I am confident Dr. Lambert will be able to build on the rich tradition that is Lone Star College-North Harris and look forward to all of us helping students get to where they want to go,” said Castillo.
