Lone Star College names new vice chancellor, Administration and Finance

Kristy Vienne, Ed.D., has been named Lone Star College vice chancellor, Administration and Finance.

Lone Star College named Kristy Vienne, Ed.D., as vice chancellor, Administration and Finance. Vienne will lead the LSC Finance and Administration Division which is responsible for the construction and facilities, budgeting and planning, accounting and financial reporting, payroll, auxiliary services and procurement for the college. Vienne began her official duties Feb. 5, 2024, after serving in the interim role since November.

“Her qualifications to take over an increasingly operational role are well documented,” said Mario K. Castillo, J.D., LSC chancellor. “Dr. Vienne has served this institution as senior associate vice chancellor over Administrative Services since April 2023 and she was one of the former chief financial officer’s direct reports.”

Vienne previously held the position of associate vice president, Auxiliary Services & Business Services, Finance & Operations and as an adjunct faculty member at Sam Houston State University (SHSU). Vienne also held several positions at Northwestern State University (NSU).

“I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to working with Chancellor Castillo and the chancellor’s cabinet to ensure our students have the tools needed to be successful,” said Vienne.

Vienne earned a doctorate of Education from SHSU and a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Science from NSU. Vienne also took part in the Governor’s Executive Development program at the LBJ School of Public Affairs, University of Texas at Austin.
