LSC-Montgomery and Interfaith of The Woodlands have built a strong partnership throughout the years, most notably through the college's Holiday Benefit Concert. Proceeds from the annual event have been donated to Interfaith for the past five years. All ticket proceeds and other contributions from the concert, which featured traditional carols, familiar tunes, and upbeat holiday favorites performed by the college’s choirs, Symphonic Band, and Symphony Orchestra, were donated to Interfaith to support their work in the community.
“It’s so rewarding to showcase our talented students while supporting an organization that’s truly instrumental in this area,” said Dr. Mark Marotto, director of choral activities at LSC-Montgomery. “It’s these occasions where everyone—the students, faculty, and community members—become united in joyful, charitable giving.”
This was the eighth year that LSC-Montgomery donated the holiday concert proceeds to a local non-profit organization and the fifth year that LSC-Montgomery has partnered with Interfaith.
LSC-Montgomery is located at 3200 College Park Drive, one-half mile west of Interstate 45, between Conroe and The Woodlands. For more information about the college, call 936.273.7000, or visit www.LoneStar.edu/montgomery.
