A new year…a new you…and a new career! Find your fresh start during a community wide job fair on Thursday, January 24, 2013, from 2-7 p.m., at Lone Star Convention Center in Conroe.
Featuring several local businesses, this huge job fair will showcase employment opportunities in various fields like welding, machining, sales, healthcare, engineering, accounting, and more.
This event is being sponsored by the Greater Conroe Economic Development Council; The Lone Star Convention and Expo Center; the Greater Conroe/Lake Conroe Area Chamber of Commerce; and Lone Star College-Conroe Center. Additional media sponsors include HCN, The Courier; JobSparx; Outlets of Conroe; and ReviewIt Magazine.
Employers scheduled to participate include Express Employment Professionals; Juice Plus; Mary Kay Independent Consultant; Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital; National Oilwell Varco (NOV); Pentair, Porous Media; Protect Controls, Inc.; Resource MFG; and University of Phoenix. The event also includes various educational opportunities and community resources.
Plus, there will be a drawing at the event for three scholarships totaling more than $2,500 from Lone Star College.

For businesses interested in hosting a booth, reservations are currently being accepted through the Greater Conroe/Lake Conroe Area Chamber of Commerce. Booth reservations range from $200-$275, with a price increase set for Friday, January 13, 2013.
The Lone Star Convention and Expo Center is located at 9055 Airport Road in Conroe.
