Published on: November 08, 2012Don’t wait for classes to fill up, get registered now at of one of Lone Star College-CyFair’s free New Student Orientations available through Jan. 12, 2013.
“During orientation, students will learn how to view their myLonestar account, meet with an advisor and be able to register on the spot for Spring classes, which start Jan. 14,” said Dean of Student Services Dr. Rito Silva. “In addition, orientation includes an Advising 101 session that covers the registration process, paying for classes, adds/drops, financial aid, parking, bookstore, difference between college and high school, FERPA and major/transfer information.”
Morning and afternoon New Student Orientations are set for Wednesdays and Fridays with one Saturday morning session in January. These orientation sessions will be held at the Barker Cypress campus at 9191 Barker Cypress Road at West Road.
All sessions are free, but space is limited. Students must pre-register online at LoneStar.edu/cyfair-orientation to receive a confirmation with room location and other program information.
