Registration is Under Way for Discovery College

Summer is right around the corner and classes are filling up fast for Lone Star College-CyFair’s popular Discovery College summer camp.

“Some of our outstanding classes for ages 6 to 14 are Robotics, Animation Web, Broadway Bound, Scrubs Club, Cooking and Painting,” said Kenya White, director of Continuing Education. “We are also launching a specialty class, SAT Preparation, for ages 14 to 17.”

“Learning for Fun” is the theme for the week-long sessions June 6 – Aug. 5. The summer camp sessions are fun and educational providing children an opportunity to develop skills and learn new ones in a friendly environment.

“What differentiates Discovery College from other camps is that we strive to promote academic, social and emotional learning in all of our sessions. This holistic approach is what makes learning fun,” said White.

Camps are held at the Barker Cypress campus and the Fairbanks Center campus. The cost of the week-long sessions is $99 per class.
