For those involved or interested in nonprofit activities, Lone Star College-CyFair now offers four new nonprofit courses this spring.

“The new nonprofit courses provide new and existing professionals with the tools they need to strategically manage a variety of functions in a nonprofit organization,” said Kenya White, director of Continuing Education.” We are excited about this new opportunity and look forward to developing leaders who will be impacting the community and the world.”

Courses, including Fund Raising for Nonprofits, Grant Writing, Nonprofit Marketing and Public Relations and Management Fundamentals for Nonprofits, are designed to be completed in as little as two weeks.

This course will be held Feb. 1 through Feb. 10, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The Nonprofit Marketing and Public Relations course will address professional development skills and techniques to effectively market and develop public relations for nonprofit organizations. Course topics address current events, skills, knowledge and/or attitudes and behaviors related to technology, occupational need and industry trends.  This course will be held Feb. 21 through March 2 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays.

The Management Fundamentals for Nonprofits covers management functions, theories and decision-making processes such as planning, organizing, leading and staffing.
