Up!

The parking “crunch” at Lone Star College-Montgomery is one step closer to elimination, as the first “upward” sign of construction was put in place for the college’s 1,000-space parking garage. The corner support beams for the five-level garage were installed on February 15, and the project is scheduled for completion prior to the start of the fall 2010 semester. The parking garage is one of five new buildings for LSC-Montgomery resulting from the passage of a May 2008 Lone Star College System bond referendum. Also under construction are the LSC-Conroe Center campus and three classroom buildings (Music Hall, Health Science Center, and General Academic Center).

Harrison Kornberg is the architect for the parking garage; the general contractor is Johnson Group USA, and the construction firm is Diggs Construction. Project management is being handled by Jones Lang LaSalle.
