Lone Star College-Montgomery employee earns top leadership award

Lone Star College-Montgomery proudly celebrates Martha Neely for her recognition as Woman of the Year in Higher Education Leadership.

Lone Star College-Montgomery is thrilled to announce that Martha Neely, Campus Director for Career, Tech and Continuing Education has been recognized as the Woman of the Year in Higher Education Leadership by the Ecuadorian American Chamber of Commerce of Texas (CCEATEX). 

This award is presented annually by CCEATEX during their International Women's Day event. It honors Latina women in Houston who have made significant contributions through their hard work, experience, and lasting impact within the community. This recognition reflects Martha Neely's dedication to leadership in higher education and her commitment to empowering students to achieve their career goals.

The event, which took place on March 7th at the Houston Tennis Club, celebrated the achievements and contributions of outstanding women while emphasizing the importance of equal opportunities. The event focused on empowering women from new generations and supporting their development in various fields for economic, social, and cultural progress. Among the distinguished participants was Delary Stoffers, Miss Ecuador 2023, who shared inspiring insights and experiences with the attendees. 

Martha Neely's exceptional leadership and dedication in the field of Higher Education have not only made a significant impact within the college but have also inspired those around her. Her work at Lone Star College-Montgomery and Conroe Center has had a significant impact on students and the community. Her recognition as Woman of the Year serves as evidence to her strength, determination, and perseverance in advancing education and empowering future generations. 

Martha humbly expresses her gratitude for receiving the Woman of the Year award stating, “Receiving the Woman of the Year 2024 in Higher Education Leader Award fills me with profound gratitude and validation for the dedication and effort I have invested in advancing education in our community. It inspires me to continue striving for excellence while guiding and empowering others on their own leadership journeys.”

The CCEATEX event provided a platform for many leaders and entrepreneurs to share their experiences and explore opportunities for collaboration and growth. This event was not only informative but also underscored the continuous need to support women on their path to success.
