Notice: Meningitis Requirement

Senate Bill 1107 amends current Texas law requiring proof of Bacterial Meningitis vaccination 10 days before attending classes for all entering students except:
  • Students over 30 years of age 
  • Students who take only online or distance education courses
  • Current students of LSCS or another institution of higher education before January 1, 2012 
    AND who have been enrolled without a break of at least one fall or spring semester
  • Individuals who are dual-credit students from a Texas Independent School District
  • Students enrolled in a non-credit course or program that is less than 360 contact hours, or non-credit corporate training.

Lone Star College is an open-enrollment institution. That means that most students are accepted once their application has been submitted.

This application is ONLY for students that have never enrolled in a course at Lone Star College. This includes those wishing to pursue an AA, AS, AAS, or AAT degree or receive credit for transfer.

Recently Enrolled/Applied Students who have previously enrolled in a course or previously applied at Lone Star College within the past 5 years can update their address information and answer the Texas Residency Questionnaire.

Continuing Education

Anyone can take continuing education (CE) non-credit courses for Workforce Training, Personal Enrichment or Professional Development. These CE courses do not carry college credit, however, the workforce and professional development courses offer Continuing Education Units (CEU).
