Students
To be eligible for a Lone Star College Student ID card, you must be currently enrolled in Lone Star College classes.
- On campus identification and check in for college events
- Access to various in-person services including access to Testing and Assessment Centers, Fitness and Wellness Centers, and Student Recreation Centers.
- To check-out and request books, videos, and more from the Library.
- The back of your card includes a library barcode number that can be used as an alternative method to access online library resources from off-campus.
- Discounts may be available with some cooperating vendors.
When you come to campus to get a student ID, you will need to bring a government-issued photo ID. Examples include: a driver's license, State ID, passport, or military ID.
If you are unable to provide such an ID, contact your campus library and ask about alternative options for identification.
Some campuses may also require additional documentation.
Eligible students can visit any Lone Star College location to get an LSC Student ID card. Locate the campus that you would like to visit to learn where on campus IDs are made and if you will need any additional documents.

Your student ID card will be valid as long as you are enrolled at Lone Star College and does not expire as long as you continue to take classes.
Exception: Some workforce programs like nursing and EMT require additional special ID badges that are only valid for your time in that class or program. These are different from your regular Student ID card.
Your first LSC ID card is free. Replacement IDs cost $10.
LSC Employees
Lone Star College employees will receive an Employee ID Badge.

When you come to campus to get an employee ID, you will need to bring a government-issued photo ID. Examples include: a driver's license, State ID, passport, or military ID.
If you are unable to provide such an ID, contact your campus library and ask about alternative options for identification.
You will also need to bring an Employee Badge Request Form signed by your supervisor. Your supervisor or department should provide the form and fill out the access that you need.
Note: The library only creates the badge; we do not control room access or the distribution of key cards.
New full-time employees will typically have their badges made at their new employee orientation. If you are unsure when and where to get your badge, please talk with your supervisor.

Your employee ID card will be valid as long as you are employed at Lone Star College and does not expire. When you leave LSC employment, your badge should be turned in to your supervisor.
Your first LSC ID badge is free. Replacement badges cost $20. This is a system-level policy.
Lost badges should be immediately reported to your supervisor or department.
