Learn about Kirigami and AI Need-to-Knows in LSC-CyFair’s May L.I.F.E. Workshops

Learn the difference between Origami and Kirigami.
Learn the difference between Origami and Kirigami.

Attend two Lone Star College-CyFair’s library programs this May and leave with your own Kirigami creations and an “Age of AI” survival guide.

The free Learning, Inspiration, Friendship and Enrichment (L.I.F.E.) programs are all held at 10 a.m. in the library meeting room, LRNC Room 131.

While many have heard of Origami, there is also Kirigami, which is a variation of Origami that involves cutting. Come try your hand at some simple yet beautiful folding and cutting paper exercises to learn the differences between the two. The Monday, May 6 “Asia Society: Origami and Kirigami Workshop” will be a fun and creative Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) Month celebration.

Return Monday, May 20 to join Librarian Regina Vitolo for “The Terminator's Guide to AI Literacy.”  Attendees will delve into the history, ethical considerations and everyday applications of Artificial Intelligence, all while evoking the spirit of everyone's favorite cyber superhero.
