  • LSC- Tomball Pharmacy Technology is currently accepting student applications for the 2014 fall semester program. The deadline for student application submission is Thursday, July 24, 2014. Careers in the healthcare industry are ever-increasing across our nation and around the world. The field of Pharmacy Technology is rapidly growing with expected growth rates of 32 percent in the next eight years nationwide.  

  • This summer, 121 high school students from Aldine ISD are taking advantage of a program at Lone Star College-North Harris designed to help them acquire the skills and motivation to become successful, first-generation college students.

  • Lone Star College Atascocita Center will host an Engineering information session Tuesday, July 29 from 5:30 p.m-6:30 p.m. in Room 212 located at 15903 West Lake Houston Pkwy.  Designed for students interested in a major of engineering, information will include the course sequence for students preparing to begin college as well as the transfer pathway into a university engineering program.  Students currently enrolled at Lone Star College and those still in high school are encouraged to attend.

  • Lone Star College-Tomball Community Library will be hosting Workforce Solutions’ free seminar “Interviewing” which is designed to help job seekers make the best possible first impression in today’s competitive job market on July 23, 1-3 pm.

  • Registration is underway for LSC-Tomball Fall. Take advantage of these fast-track methods to getting ahead with your degree plan. 

  • Fall is right around the corner, and registration is in full swing for the 2014 fall semester at LSC-Montgomery and LSC-Conroe Center.  The 2014 school year will feature new course offerings in live entertainment technology, which has added a video component, automotive technology, and other programs. Classes begin Monday, August 25.

  • The CHI Lone Star College School of Cosmetology invites the community to take advantage of discounted salon services offered as part of the school’s curriculum. The growing school, a partnership with industry leader Farouk Systems, Inc., offers day and evening hours to help accommodate even the busiest person’s schedule.

  • Lone Star College-North Harris has announced its newest partnership with three Houston-area KIPP high schools.

  • Penny Westerfeld has been named interim president of LSC-North Harris. Westerfeld replaces Dr. Steve Head, who was appointed chancellor for the Lone Star College System effective August 1. Westerfeld will assume her interim duties on August 1 as well.
