Lone Star College System to hold career job fair April 29

Lone Star College System will host a career job fair April 29 that is free of charge and open to the public.
This event will take place at LSC-University Park
, from 3:30 – 7:00 p.m. and is hosted by the Lone Star College Office of Workforce Education and Corporate Partnerships. The career job fair will focus on professional and administrative careers.
“This event will provide job seekers a chance to develop relationships with potential employers which can lead to employment opportunities,” said Linda Head, associate vice chancellor of workforce education and corporate partnerships. “Lone Star College works closely with many businesses and sees these events as an important part of our mission to not only train our students for tomorrow’s workforce, but assist them in finding meaningful employment.”
Professional and administrative careers include Nursing, Business Managers, Cosmetology, Human Services, Accounting, Visual Communications, Cisco Networking, Microsoft Networking, Logistics, Paralegal and General Office Support.
All veteran candidates will be offered priority early VIP admission to the career fairs to engage and network with employers and veteran organizations from 3 – 3:30 p.m.
Students and community job seekers will have the opportunity to network with prospective companies. There will be various employers on hand to discuss employment opportunities within their organizations, benefits, job requirements, skills being sought, prerequisites, and more.
Job seekers are urged to dress professionally as on-site interviews may take place and a resume is required for admission. Attendees are urged to bring multiple copies which can be left with employers.
