Published on: April 11, 2014The Lone Star College-Tomball Theatre Department will hold open auditions for its summer musical production of “Shrek” on Wednesday, April 30 at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 3 at 10 a.m. in the Black Box Theater (E 171).
Auditions are open to students and community members. Those attending the audition should be prepared to read from the script as well as learn and perform a song and dance from the musical. The performance runs July 10-13.
“Shrek the Musical” is part romance, part twisted fairy tale. In a faraway kingdom turned upside down, things get ugly when an unseemly ogre - not a handsome prince - shows up to rescue a feisty princess. Along the way, we meet a talkative donkey, a bad guy with a short temper, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits. The show provides irreverent fun for all audiences.
