Academic Calendar (pp. 1-7)
p. 6 - On-site registration for spring, 2009 will begin on November 10 rather than November 24 as listed on the calendar. November 10 is also the same day that online and phone registration begins.
p. 7 - Classes resume after the mid-semester break on March 16 rather than March 17 as indicated in the 08/09 calendar.

Registration Policies and Procedures (pp. 24-31)
p. 26 - Chart A - TSI Complete/Exempt:  The ACT and SAT statements regarding TSI exemptions have been reworded to provide clarity. The revisions are as follows:  **ACT 23 composite and 19 subject score. **SAT 1070 composite and 500 subject score. The revised Chart A - TSI Complete/Exempt can be found at http://www.lonestar.edu.
p. 27 - Under Student Success Initiative (SSI) - For clarification purposes, amend the following sentence: "All associate degrees require completion of MATH 0308 or higher based on degree requirements." Change to:  "All associate degrees and certificates over 42 credit hours require completion of MATH 0308 or higher and college level reading and writing or higher based on degree requirements."
p. 27 - CHART B Course Placement Scores - Effective September 9, 2008, new math placement scores will go into effect for Lone Star College System. New students who test September 9 or later will be placed based on the new placement scores at http://www.lonestar.edu.
Students who retest September 9 or later will be able to use the highest placement earned based on approved LSCS tests and guidelines.
p. 28 - English as a second language placement score chart - This chart is no longer valid. Replace the placement chart with the information at http://www.lonestar.edu.

p. 49 Credit by Internal Challenge Exam - SGNL 1211 should be changed to SLNG 1211. The other sign language courses are listed correctly (SGNL 1401 and 1402).
p. 51 Credit by External Challenge Exam - for fall, 2008, add Statistics AP College Board exam as an option for credit for MATH 1342 with an AP exam score of "3" or higher.

ECON 2371 - Survey of Economic Principles - Delete from the inventory ( p. 219).

EDUC 1300 Learning Framework - The catalog correctly lists corequisites as ENGL 0305 or ENGL 0316 AND ENGL 0307 or 0326 or 0356. Colleague can not be programmed to include this group of courses as the coreqs. Advisors should verify that students are in the appropriate corequisite courses and may need to "override" when registering students (p. 219).

HITT 1166 - Practicum - Health Information Technology - Beginning spring, 2009, remove HITT 1345 as a prerequisite (p. 240).

HYDR 1309 - Basic Fluid Power I (Hydraulics) - Beginning spring, 2009, change lecture/lab combination from 1 hr. lec., 3 hrs. lab. to 2 hrs. lec., 3 hrs. lab. (p. 244).

IBUS 1301 - Principles of Import/Export - Beginning spring, 2009, delete from inventory and replace with IBUS 1371 (p. 245).

INTC 1240 - Principles of Automatic Control - Beginning spring, 2009, this course will be replaced with INTC 1341 - Principles of Automatic Control. (p. 249).

MCHN 1381 - Cooperative Education Machine Tool Technology - Beginning spring, 2009, Departmental Approval will be required to register for this course (p. 273).

PHRA 1449 - Institutional Pharmacy Practice - Beginning spring, 2009, course will be 80 contact hours rather than 96. Course will be 3 hrs. lec., 2 hrs. lab. (p. 287)

POFL 1305 - Legal Terminology - Beginning spring, 2009, course will be 64 contact hours rather than 80. Lecture/lab combination will be 2 hrs. lec., 2 hrs. lab. (p. 289).

TECM 1303- Technical Mathematics - Course title has changed to Technical Calculations (p. 311).

IBUS 1371 - Local Need: Principles of Import/Export - New course for spring, 2009 and part of the International Business Certificate. It replaces old course IBUS 1301.

METL 1266 - Practicum-Metallurgical Technology - New course for spring, 2009 and part of the new Corrosion Technology AAS degree.

METL 1313 - Introduction to Corrosion - New course for spring, 2009 and part of the new Corrosion Technology AAS degree.
