Lone Star College is an open-enrollment institution. Most students are accepted once they have completed the admission process. Follow the new student checklist below to complete the admissions process and become a LSCS student.

Apply For Admission

Complete the online admissions application or meet with an advisor at a campus for assistance.

Step 2

Complete Pre-Assessment Activity

Pre-assessment activity must be completed before attending orientation.

Step 3

Complete Placement Testing

Placement testing must be completed before attending orientation.

Complete New Student Orientation

New student orientation must be completed before you can register for classes.

Step 6

Register & Pay for Classes

Meet with an advisor to review your program of study, class selections and class schedule before registering for classes. You can complete class registration with an advisor or online.

Go to Class!

LSChas several locations includingsix full campuses,seven satellite centers, two university centers, and four program specific locations.

Financial Aid

Our tuition rates are based on residence and you can get an estimate of your costs by refering to the Tuition & Fees chart on the financial aid website. Financial aid is available to most students.

Transfer Students

Are you transferring from another higher education institution? If so, you will need to request an official transcript from all colleges and/or universities you have previously attended. For additional information, please visit the Transfer website.

Authorize a Representative

Do you need someone else to enroll, register or conduct your business with the college? We need you to submit an Authorization to Release Educational Records form.

Privacy Request Form

If you would like to prevent the release of your directory information to those outside of Lone Star College System, please submit a FERPA Privacy Release form.

Meningitis Requirement

Senate Bill 1107 amends current Texas law requiring proof of Bacterial Meningitis vaccination 10 days before attending classes.
