Image of Keri RogersThe Office of Academic Affairs administers a broad range of operations related to the support of the instructional units at each college.  Led by Dr. Keri Rogers, Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, staff members oversee operations, programs, and initiatives in support of the completion and success of our future and current students through academic planning, curriculum development, compliance, online learning, international programs, library services, high school dual credit, university transfer articulation, academic policy development, health occupation opportunities, and college preparation.

Academic Support

Compliance & Instructional Initiatives
Responsible for all federal, state and local academic compliance as well as classroom initiatives.

Curriculum Development
Provides support to and works in collaboration with the LSCS colleges to continually strengthen instruction and related programs and services.

Core Curriculum 2014
Tasked with updating the core curriculum and reviewing all courses proposed to be added or deleted from the institution's core curriculum.

Health Occupations
Responsible for curriculum development and instructional support for degrees and certificates within the health sciences academic cluster.

College Preparation Programs

Adult Basic Education
Responsible for programs designed to build core skills in math, reading and language with an emphasis on college readiness.

Developmental Studies
Emphasizes instruction in reading and basic math, providing additional preparation for college-level instruction.

ESOL
English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) emphasizes programs designed to help students improve reading, writing listening and speaking English.

GED
The General Education Development (GED) test is an education service that enables a student to earn a certificate of High School Equivalency issued by the Texas Education Agency.

Educational Partnerships

Articulation
Responsible for articulation agreements between Lone Star College and four-year institutions as well as high school articulation.

Dual Credit & High School Articulation
Dual Credit is part of Lone Star College's exceptional admissions programs, designed for college-ready high school juniors and seniors seeking college-level instruction.

Library Technical Services
Tasked with management of Lone Star College library resources including research databases and library partnerships.

Energy & Manufacturing Institute

Lone Star Energy & Manufacturing Institute works in collaboration with Lone Star Corporate College and the six Lone Star College campuses: LSC-CyFair, LSC-Kingwood, LSC-Montgomery, LSC-North Harris, LSC-Tomball, and LSC-University Park. As the epicenter for Lone Star Energy & Manufacturing Institute, LSC-University Park is a high-end, state-of-the-art facility with space available for continuous talent development and promoting your corporate brand.

Honors College

The Honors College at Lone Star College offers students the advantages of a small “college within a college,” while still providing access to the extensive benefits available through Lone Star College. Honors classes provide a unique intellectual and co-curricular experience.

International Programs & Services
