Over 50 volunteers including students, faculty and friends got their green on and joined Lone Star College-University Park in the 35th annual St. Patrick’s Day parade on 1960. The LSC-University Park float was one of 1, 000 floats lining the three-mile parade route.
Over 100,000 revelers attended the parade on March 17 which started at Champion Forest Drive and ended at Kuykendahl.
With enrollment steadily increasing, Lone Star College-University Park has expanded its campus to include an additional 11,700 square feet of classroom space for the spring 2013 semester.
Construction was completed on the area, which encompasses the entire seventh floor of LSC-University Park Building 13 over the winter break. Included are 10 instructional classrooms, two computer labs and one science lab.
LSC-University Park sponsors a national monthly talk radio forum, Visionary Talk Radio for Higher Education.
