Coyote Camp
Summer Coyote Camp - Registration is now open!
Attendance at an on-campus orientation is a required part of the new student process. We work hard to ensure that the orientations at Lone Star College-Kingwood are informative, entertaining, and beneficial for everyone who attends.
New first-years are introduced to campus and all of the resources that we offer to help them succeed in college. Academic Advisors will offer some important reminders for new students and Representatives from Financial Aid will ensure that students are familiar with the options that are available to help make your education more affordable. We are most excited that Coyote Camp gives new students the opportunity to meet and interact with some of our most committed student leaders. The Coyote Crew run sessions on the student experience, lead campus tours, and are there to help make the transition to college as smooth as possible.
Because many of the orientation sessions are offered close to the start of the semester we suggest that students register for classes prior to attending orientation. In order to register you must meet with an Academic Advisor on campus. The Advising staff can get you testing referral forms for the placement tests that we offer on campus (Compass and Accuplacer), help you to select appropriate courses and back-date the orientation hold that is on your account. (Please note your hold will not be permanently removed until you attend orientation.) Meet with an advisor early so that you can make your schedule before all the best courses and times are taken!
Dates for Summer 2013 Coyote Camps are listed below. Register for Coyote Camp early as spaces are limited. Please be sure to register for a session on the campus at which you will be taking the majority of your classes.

Before attending Coyote Camp students must:
- Complete an LSCS Admissions Application.
- Send high school transcripts to LSC-Kingwood
- Send college transcripts to LSC-Kingwood (if applicable)
- Meet with an LSC-Kingwood Academic Advisor
- Take placement test or submit scores to LSC-Kingwood
- Complete the FAFSA (if you are applying for financial assistance)
- Complete the online orientation
