The general service technician certificate program prepares the individual for basic, entry-level employment in the automotive service industry. The program provides course work specializing in brakes, under car mechanical, and the steering and suspension of the contemporary automobile and light truck that affect vehicle control and safety.
The automotive technology program has been reviewed by the National Automotive Technician Education Foundation and has full Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification. The student is prepared and is encouraged to take the appropriate ASE certification exams.
The general education core will transfer to a variety of colleges and universities. Contact a counselor or faculty member at any of the colleges for specific information and to obtain the recommended sequencing of courses.
