Bachelor's Degrees -- junior and senior level courses
Students who have already earned an associate's degree or have a substantial number of college academic credit hours should contact the Student Services Office (936.273.7500 or 281.618.7140 - hours) for advising and to begin the transfer admission process for the LSC-UC partner university offering the degree program.

Master's and Professional Degrees -- graduate courses
Students who have earned an approved bachelor's degree should contact the LSC-UC Student Services Office at (936.273.7500 or 281.618.7140 - hours) for general program information and to reach the contact person at the LSC-UC partner university delivering the program.

INQUIRY AND INFORMATION GATHERING
Lone Star College-University Center provides a variety of opportunities through the Student Services Office for prospective students to learn about degree programs offered --from special events to individual advising appointments. ADMISSION
New students: to enroll in any course offered through LSC-University Center, a student must first meet the admission requirements and be admitted to one of the six partner universities. Since programs are non-duplicated, students apply to the university offering the program in which the student is will complete a degree. This school is the student's "home" university.

Other information about each partner university can be requested from LSC-University Center's Student Services Office (936.273.7510 or 281.618.7140 - hours). Admission materials required may include official tanscripts, application fees, THEA scores or equivalent proof, GRE, GMAT, MAT , and TOEFL scores.

FINANCIAL AID
Students begin the process by filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) available online, at LSC-University Center, or from any university financial aid office and submitting financial aid transcripts from all colleges and universities previously attended, whether or not financial aid was received.

Special scholarships are available to students transferring from Lone Star College System. Contact the Student Services Office (936.273.7510 or 281.618.7140 - hours) for details and application information.

Students using their Veteran's Affairs educational benefits contact the VA Office at their "home" university.

REGISTRATION
Opportunities for advising and registering at LSC-University Center are offered before each semester begins. many of the partner universities also have additional established processes (such as phone or Web registration) for students already admitted and advised.

TUITION, FEES & REFUNDS
The amount of tuition and fees owed by students registering for courses through LSC-University Center is determined by each university. Fee payment is owed to the university to which the student has registered. Payments and refunds vary according to each university's deadlines.

ATTENDING CLASS
LSC-University Center offers students the opportunity to attend classes closer to work or home. Many evening classes are offered for students who have other commitments during the day.

Location:
All classes meet in the George P. Mitchell Building at LSC-University Center, 3232 College Park Drive, The Woodlands, Texas (driving directions).

Class Types:
Courses offered through LSC-UC are taught in a variety of class-type methods, including:

  • Traditional, on-site
  • Interactive television (ITV) video-conferencing
  • Courses offered through the internet
  • Courses offered through videotape or television.

Class Size:
Typically, classes offered through The University Center are small. Seminar rooms seat up to a maximum of 14 students and other classrooms each have seating capacity that varies from 20 up to a maximum of 85.
