Borrow Books

Need a book? You got it! As a student, staff, or faculty member at the Lone Star College-University Center you may borrow library materials through MANY sources. >>To FIND books, contact the LSC-University Center Librarian

• Borrow books directly from our next-door neighbor, the Lone Star-Montgomery College Library
  You may also order materials from the other LSC campus libraries, or the Harris and Montgomery County Public Library branches to be delivered for you to pick up at the LSC-Montgomery College Library. To borrow or order materials, you will need one of the following:
  • A Community Borrower card easily obtained from the LSC-Montgomery College Library Circulation Desk (state-issued photo ID is required)
  • Your Harris County Public Library card
  • Your Montgomery County Public Library card
    
    
• Borrow books from your home institution & pick them up at the LSC-University Center Library
  You may request and borrow material from your home university's library (Prairie View AM, Sam Houston State, Texas Southern, Texas AM, University of Houston, University of Houston Downtown), and have it delivered to the LSC-University Center Library for pick-up. When you are finished with the material, you may also return it to the LSC-University Center library. Contact the LSC-University Center Librarian or your home library to order such material (some restrictions will apply).
  
  
• Borrow books from any library in the United States via the Inter-Library Loan (ILL)Service
  LSC-University Center students may request material from any library in the United States via their home university library's inter-library loan service.
  These items will be delivered to the LSC-University Center library. See the LSC-University Center Librarian for assistance with these requests, or visit your home university library's website.
