Register Now for Discovery College 2013Lone Star College-Kingwoods Discovery College offers a variety of fun and educational camps to keep children ages 6-17 entertained this summer.

Discovery College begins June 10 and goes through Aug. 10 at LSC-Kingwood. This year, the program will be held at LSC-Atascocita Center from July 29-Aug. 15. The early bird registration is March 23 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. in the CLA Building on the Kingwood campus.

The purpose of Discovery College is to provide summer enrichment programs that allow kids to focus on their passion and have an increased interest in learning, said Terry Hebert, Discovery College program coordinator.

Discovery College programs are STEM-focused to engage children in key areas like science, technology, engineering and math to promote a true learning experience. It also offers programs in performing arts, physical activity, and more.

Courses are held on a weekly basis, Mondays through Thursdays, with morning and afternoon sessions starting at $89. To register, parents/guardians need to submit completed consent and registration forms for each child.
