Lone Star College to offer networking opportunities with employers

Lone Star College will be hosting a Technical Careers and Skilled Trades Career Fair. This event is free of charge, open to the public and takes place at LSC-North Harris Oct. 15, from 3:30-6:30 p.m.

“It’s important to note that these career fairs are not only for Lone Star College students, but for anyone who is looking for work, or for a better opportunity,” said Linda Head, LSC associate vice chancellor of workforce education and corporate partnerships.”

In addition, all U.S. military veteran candidates will be offered early VIP admission from 3-3:30 p.m. to meet and network with employers and veteran organizations.

The career fair allows students and community job seekers the chance to connect with potential employers. More than 35 employers will be on hand to discuss employment opportunities within their organizations, benefits, job requirements, skills being sought, prerequisites and more. It is a great way for job seekers to hone their job interview skills in a friendly environment.
