Star Gazers, Aspiring Astronomers Invited to College’s ‘Star Party’ November 18

Hunt for stars, constellations, and cosmic calamities with LSC-Montgomery's astronomy professor Dr. Aaron Clevenson during the college's Star Party on November 18, at 6 p.m.
Enjoy the wonders of the nighttime sky during Lone Star College-Montgomery’s annual “Star Party” on Monday, November 18, at 6 p.m., in the Health Science Center (Building B), Room 102. This family-friendly event begins with “Things That Go Bump in the Night—Cosmic Calamities,” a special presentation by Dr. Aaron Clevenson, astronomy professor at LSC-Montgomery and an expert of star observations. An outdoor viewing of the nighttime sky from the top level of the college’s parking garage will follow his presentation.
 
Children and adults alike will enjoy the special treasure hunt for stars, star clusters, stellar evolution, constellations, and supernovas. All those who successfully complete the treasure hunt will be eligible for door prizes.
 
The event is free, and no astronomy experience is required.
