LSC-Kingwood students learn public policy from H-GACEnvironmental science students at Lone Star College-Kingwood learned about the development of public policy when they visited the Houston Galveston Area Council’s (H-GAC) Natural Resources Advisory Committee (NRAC) on Feb. 7. H-GAC’s mission is to serve as the instrument of local government cooperation and promote the region's orderly development and the safety and welfare of its citizens. The NRAC is appointed by H-GAC's Board of Directors and serves as a forum to review and advise public officials on policy issues affecting natural resources in the 13-county Houston-Galveston region.
