Lone Star Corporate College sets monthly seminar series

(Aug.2, 2011) – Lone Star Corporate College will kick off a new monthly seminar series for business professionals on Friday, Aug.19 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Lone Star Community Building, 5000 Research Forest Drive in The Woodlands.

The Aug.19 presentation will be “Getting Started with Social Media for your Business,” presented by Tammie Nielsen, CEO of TK Media Inc. “Social media is real media”, said Nielsen. “Companies that don’t learn how to use it correctly will be left behind at best, or worst case, irrevocably damage their brand.”

The second seminar, set for Friday, Sept. 23, will be “The 3 R's of Business Continuity: Retain, Restore and Restart,” presented by Camille Hamilton, owner of CMIT Solutions of Northwest Houston Suburbs.

Each month’s seminar is only $49 and includes lunch. More information about upcoming seminars can be found at LoneStar.edu/CorporateCollege.
