Enjoy the Last of Summer L.I.F.E. at LSC-CyFair

End summer with tips for a healthy mind, historical nuptials, Feng Shui and a personal perspective on Vietnam  at the upcoming August workshops.

Lone Star College-CyFair’s Learning, Inspiration, Fellowship, and Enrichment (L.I.F.E.) programs are free and held Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the library (Room 131 unless otherwise noted) at 9191 Barker Cypress.

• August 3 — Mind Games
Maintain your brain and nerves and keep them healthy with Quantum Neurology. Dr. Chase Hayden of the Hayden Institute provides tips and techniques.
• August 10 — Royal Wedding Madness
Want the scoop on Prince William and Kate Middleton? Did you get up in the wee hours to watch Diana? Do you remember the notorious Mrs. Simpson? Learn about some romantic and exotic nuptials of royals past and present with Jo Tubbs.
• August 17 — Enhance Your Chi
Feng Shui is neither superstitious, voodoo magic, nor a fad. The Chinese have known for many years that our physical surroundings affect every aspect of our inner and outer lives. Patty Bassine of Feng Shui for Everyday Life gives you simple ways to change your destiny for the better by enhancing your environment.
 August 24 — A Green Beret's Personal Perspective on Vietnam
Former Green Beret Gordon Rottman recalls his experiences in the Vietnam War. Discover how combat and communing with the locals provided him with a new perspective on life and death.
