Holiday Fest Comes to Lone Star College-Tomball on November 30

“More activities! More family fun!” is this year’s theme for Lone Star College-Tomball’s annual Holiday Fest community event.  The event will take place on Friday, November 30, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Lone Star College-Tomball’s campus, located at 30555 Tomball Parkway in Tomball.

During Holiday Fest, the LSC-Tomball campus will transform into a decorative, festive land, full of indoor and outdoor activities, including children’s games and crafts, bounce houses, live entertainment, special guest appearances, community group activities, hay rides, and train rides. Best of all, children will be able to meet and take a photo with the guest of honor, Santa Claus. All games and activities will be free, and cookies, punch and coffee will be served. Hot dogs, soda and water will be on sale for $.50 an item.

“We’re excited to open up our ‘home’ to the community. This year, we’ve planned a lot more activities for the whole family to enjoy,” said Lisa Morales, Lone Star College-Tomball dean of academic initiatives and partnerships and Holiday Fest co-chair. “And everything is free except for the hot dogs and sodas, which we are selling at-cost. The idea is for a family to come and enjoy a fun-filled evening for free or without spending a lot of money,” she added.

In the spirit of giving and good will, Holiday Fest guests are encouraged to bring donations of labeled wrapped and unwrapped personal items and toiletries for Santa’s visits to area senior citizen facilities and baking mixes, cereal, paper products, household cleaners, hair products, and canned meats & vegetables for Boys & Girls country.
