11th Annual Tech Fest, BBQ Cookoff, and Niftee50ees Classic Carshow set for Mar. 27 at LSC-North Harris

Proceeds from events to benefit Career Technology student scholarships and Relay for Life’s Choppin Cancer Team.
 
Lone Star College-North Harris Career Technology Division and the Niftee 50ees Classic Cruisers car club are partnering to host a BBQ  Cookoff and Classic Car Show  on Saturday, Mar. 27, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., 2700 W.W. Thorne Drive in North Houston. Free to the community.
 
The college’s 11th Annual Tech Fest  is designed to be a fun, family-oriented day featuring: a barbecue cook-off and sale, more than 500 classic cars, hot rods and rat rods; live music and entertainment; amusement for children; door prizes and raffles; and a wide-variety of demonstrations featuring today’s latest automotive, engineering, computer numeric controlled manufacturing, welding and HVAC technology.
 
The annual event is an educational fundraiser that provides additional scholarship resources for Lone Star College-North Harris students entering the college’s vocational and technical programs and Relay for Life’s Choppin Cancer Team.
