Get a TexShare Card

A TexShare Card allows you to borrow materials directly from other college, university, and public libraries that are members of the TexShare program. Materials borrowed with a TexShare Card must be returned directly to the lending library by the patron. Visit the TexShare Web site for a current list of TexShare participating libraries and to learn more details on the lending policies of each library.

LSCS faculty, staff and students can apply for a TexShare Card online or in person at any LSCS Library. Community/Harris County Public Library card holders can apply for a TexShare Card at their home/local/public library or the LSC-CyFair Branch Library or LSC-Tomball Community Library. Please allow up to two weeks to receive the card by mail.

 TexShare Card Borrower Responsibilities
1. Appropriate identification as required by the lending library must be presented.
2. Materials must be returned BY THE BORROWER TO THE LENDING LIBRARY by the due date shown on the item either in person or by insured mail
3. Materials must be returned immediately if recalled by the lending library.
4. Borrowers are responsible for payment of any fines, damage costs, replacement cost of lost materials, or any other charges assessed by the lending library. Holds will be placed on Lone Star College System records until such charges are cleared.
5. Borrowers agree to surrender the TexShare Card to library staff if requested.
