Ethical considerations based on several Codes of Ethics including
Licensed Professional Counselors, Social Workers, Licensed Chemical
Dependency Counselors, etc. Includes comparison of codes of Ethics,
confidentiality, dual relationships, guidelines for web counseling,
ethical considerations dealing with broadcast media, and diversity
and multiculturalism. Significant time will be devoted to the ethics of
distance counseling. Approved for 3.0 hours for LPC, Social Worker,
and LCDC. 0.3 CEUs

Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC)
Exam Prep
Preparation, training, and review for the Licensed Chemical Dependency
Counselor written and oral examination. Intensive training in an
identified area(s) to meet continuing education and/or review/update
requirements associated with professional licensure or certification. This
course was designed to be repeated multiple times to improve student
proficiency. 1.4 CEUs

Social Workers and Counselors are often faced with assisting their
clients in addressing the issue of unresolved emotional trauma, and
how past negative experiences often influence our present-day choices,
relationships, and struggles. Trauma in Family Systems: Definition,
Identification and Resolution with Dr. William J. Smith will discuss his
upcoming book on dialogical journaling as an aide to trauma resolution
