CE Curriculum Committee Updates:
We discussed the CE program sub-committees and agree that we would like to recommend to Linda LW, the Instructional VPs and Chairs that these councils are restructured to serve as CE only curriculum teams for CE only programs. In addition, the system office will add an area for each committee to post: their membership, meeting schedule and meeting minutes. CE council will discuss pertinent items from each sub-committee at our monthly meetings and vote on items at that time. We also recommend that one the of the CE program managers facilitate each sub-committee as they do for credit curriculum teams and that the chair is the representative at the credit workforce curriculum team. Attached is the list of members with committee chair.

CE Course Pricing Review (initial discussion)
The entire CE pricing schedule will be reviewed. We recommend that our break-even to cover the cost of the instructor without consideration of administration costs be around seven students and that all costs be covered at about 10 students. We will review workforce, personal enrichment and exceptions to both in our proposal to EC and the Board. Committee
Robin and Linda will meet to draft a proposal for a new 2008-2009 CE pricing schedule to be on the August Lone Star College Board agenda for vote. Due to the late July CE Council meeting, they will present via email for discussion prior to July meeting.

Although CE instructor pay was below market value for a number of years, we will develop a proposal to be sure we have teaching quality while paying market rate. This may or may not have to match the credit adjunct rate. Committee
