an e-mail, to ask any questions about the course. You can have
your D2L mail forwarded to your public e-mail account by going to
mail in D2L, clicking on Message Settings, checking the mail forwarding
box and entering your email address. Your course mail will appear in your external

- Discussion Link.
Find the topic "Introductions" within the list of discussion
topics. To introduce yourself to me and other students, write something
about yourself by telling us who you are, something unique about yourself,
describe any of your experiences with HTML and developing web pages, tell
us of any your pet peeves in using web sites (likes and dislikes), explain
why you are taking this course whether it's required for your certificate
or degree (tell us the degree you're working on) or whether it's as an
elective for your certificate or degree. Others in the class will be able
to view your comments and learn who their fellow students are in this
course.
- Click on Chat. Available
if you wish to use it for an online conversation about the course with
your classmates. You'll need to arrange times with those with whom you
wish to chat. Conversations in this area should be about the course and
kept in line with appropriate behavior. Return to the Home page.
- Quizzes. All quizzes, graded workbook/lab manual
exercises from the Student Activities Manual (SAM), and exams are to be
completed in MySpanishLab.
Some of the quizzes and exams will contain audio sections. You have to
have Real Player installed in your computer in order to use the audio
required for the class. All quizzes will be open book and timed so don't
start a quiz until you have at least 20 minutes to take it; otherwise, if
you start and stop, you'll run out of time and not be able to start over.
Questions can be answered one at a time without being able to go back and
change your answers. To open a quiz or exam,
you will need to click on the clock
face that will appear in the calendar on the day of the examination.
Please remember that you can only open a quiz or exam once.
- Once you access MySpanishLab, click on COURSE CONTENT and then
click on VIEW ALL CONTENT. You will find a list of chapters ( In
Spanish 2311, we will work with chapters 10, 11, and 12). When you open
any of the chapters, you will find the Objectives, E-book link, Tutorial
and extra practice activities, Video and Web links and Oral and grammar
practices.
- You will also find a link for
the Student Activities Manual (SAM) where you will find the exercises that
you need to complete for each of the chapters covered in the class.
- To find which exercises are due
and when, please refer to the assignments icon in the content tab in D2L.
These exercises are to be completed in MySpanishLab.
All these exercises are graded upon completion. You complete all the
required exercises and you can assume that your grade for them is 100. In
In-text audio, you will find audio for certain pages of the grammar book.
In the Workbook and Lab Manual sections, you will find all the exercises
for the chapter. Some of these exercises are going to be graded. Please
refer to the Course content link in D2L to find which exercises are
due and when.
- Exams. There will be at least three exams and a final. Same as
the quizzes, these are to be taken at home using your own computer. The
day that an exam or quiz is due, you will have to
access MySpanishLab to complete them.
The exams have a time limit.
- Click on Student Gradebook .
Use this to keep updated on the points you've earned. Grades for quizzes
and assignments are the only ones that are posted automatically after
taking the quiz or completing an assignment . Grades for your tests will be posted within five days.
·
