ARTC 1317 – Design Communications I
My name is Carlos Aguilar, I am a faculty member in the Business, Technology and Social Sciences Department at Lone Star College -Tomball, Texas.
Learning Outcomes for this course:– Apply design principles into commercial visual communications. – Organize design sequence into a comprehensive concept. – Utilize computer software. – Evaluate equipment requirements and identify technical constraints. – Identify the different file formats, how to convert them, and be able to identify when to use them. – Apply the psychology of color to communicate a design concept. – Identify and implement process and procedures required to complete projects (deadlines). – Identify copyright usage and laws. – Acquire graphic content for implementation. – Apply typographic aesthetics to enhance visual communications. – Create original project identifying technical skills; participate in class critiques utilizing design terminology. – Demonstrate competency in file management and basic word processing features for Windows / Mac operating systems |
