This course will assist students in developing the critical skills required to be successful musicians in the professional world. Students will learn how to write professional resumes, CVs, cover letters, and bios; effective audition, rehearsal, and performance, technique; and the basic of music law and music business. The course is by audition and/or interview only and is highly recommended for all who intend to pursue a degree and/or career in music (including non-performers, such as producers, etc.). This is a one-credit class offered in the fall semester.  Note that this is a workforce course and will not transfer as an academic course.

MUSC 1191 - PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR MUSICIANS

1 Credit (1 hr. lecture, 2 hrs. lab.) This course will assist students in developing the critical skills required to be successful musicians in the professional world.
